The Minister of RSO Foreign Affairs Murat Dzhioev addressed a congratulation telegram to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Finance of the Republic of Nauru Kieren Keke on the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Nauru.

On February 16, 2011 Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement B. E. Chochiev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia M. K. Dzhioev played host for Co-chairmen of Geneva Discussions on security in South Caucasus.

In the course of the meeting were discussed issues related to preparation and conducting of another round of Geneva discussions, appointed at 4 March 2011.

The President of Georgia Saakashvili during a live televised address on PIK channel Tuesday made statements that are completely controversial to his previous statement at European Parliament that Georgia will not resort to military force against Abkhazia and South Ossetia. He said “we are in state of war” and that’s why I believe that Saakashvili has rejected himself the recent statement that Georgia will not use force against South Ossetia and Abkhazia. This should be a lesson for those who rely on this statement.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Murat Djioev took part in the solemn event devoted to the Day of Public Prosecutor's Office.

The celebration of the professional day of Public Prosecutor’s Office servicemen eventuated in apartments newly built after war 2008 for the Public Prosecutor’s Office staff.

South Ossetian Public Prosecutor’s Office have done a lot for the reinforcement of law and order.

On 14 of January the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Murat Djioev played host to the Head of Official Diplomatic Mission of Transdnistrian Moldovan Republic to the Republic of South Ossetia A. Pykhaev.

During the meeting were discussed questions of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of South Ossetia and Transdnistrian Moldovan Republic and the perspectives of further development of relations between two states.

Acting in a spirit of goodwill, the Russian side has relocated deep into South Ossetia the border post that was for two years in disputed territory near the village of Perevi (western border of South Ossetia with Georgia).

This was preceded by serious preparation. Under the auspices of Russia’s FSB Border Service, a 10-plus km bypass road had been built in difficult mountain terrain to connect the Karzmanskoye Gorge to the rest of South Ossetia. It is important in supplying the local Ossetian population.

The Transdniestria Moldavian Republic Minister for Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak sent a greeting telegram to South Ossetia Minister for Foreign Affairs Murat Jioev on the occasion of the national holiday in the Republic of South Ossetia– the Day of the Republic.

The telegram says in particular:

“I send the warmest greetings on the occasion of the main national holiday- the Day of the Republic.

The Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh Minister for Foreign Affairs Georgi Petrosyan sent a greeting telegram to South Ossetia Minister for Foreign Affairs Murat Jioev on the occasion of the national holiday in the Republic of South Ossetia– the Day of the Republic.
