On December 22, the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia organized a reception in Moscow to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of South Ossetia, which included the ninth ceremony for the presentation of the Bulamarg International Literary Prize.

The parties discussed relevant issues of the bilateralcooperation, reviewed the international situation around Pridnestrovie in detail and summed up the results of joint workconducted this year.
A meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry was held on December 17, 2025. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats, Head of the Department for Cooperation with Foreign Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.G. Sanakoev and employees of theMinistry, members of the Council.
On December 16, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev hosted a meeting with theAmbassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republicof Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Elbakiev.
The parties discussed on the results of the outgoing year, givinga high assessment to the level and the content of the bilateralrelations between South Ossetia and Abkhazia, including at thehighest level, established in the spirit of friendship andpartnership.

Strengthening Cooperation
On December 10, the end-of-year press conference of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev was held in the press center of the State Committee for Information and Press.
On November 30, elections of deputies of the Supreme Council of the VIII convocation, people’s deputies of local Councils and Chairmen of Councils – heads of administrations of villages and towns were held in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The Central Electoral Committee of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic recognized that the elections have taken place.
On November 28, the Club of Young Diplomats was opened in Albion Gymnasium named after K.L. Khetagurov. Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.G. Sanakoev and Consultant of the Directorate of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia E.P. Valieva attended the opening ceremony.
On November 23, South Ossetia celebrates the Day of Courage and National Unity, which was officially established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia dated November 23, 2010 in memory of the events of 1989, when several dozens of unarmed young residents of the republic blocked with a human shield the entrance to Tskhinval to a crowd of thousands of Georgian nationalists who tried to enter the city under the guise of “peaceful demonstration”.
On November 21, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, A. M. Dzhioev attended the presentation of the book “The History of the Ossetian Genocide of 1920” by Konstantin Petrovich Pukhaev, a prominent politician and scientist, Candidate of Historical Sciences, which was held at the Z. N. Vaneev South Ossetian Scientific Research Institute and was timed to the Day of Courage and National Unity.
On November 5, Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, participated in the round-table discussion entitled “Unity of a Nation as the Strength of a State”, organized by (the Unity) Political Party, timed to the Day of National Unity.
On November 5, a meeting was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia with Head of International Department of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University Margarita Isaakova, who arrived in South Ossetia at the invitation of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
