The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Republic of Abkhazia extended a congratulatory letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the Constitution Day.

The Republic of South Ossetia celebrates the Constitution Dayon April 8. The main document of the state was adopted at the nation-wide referendum held on April 8, 2001.
While approving the state’s basic law throughout a free expression of will, the citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia have made a conscious choice in favor of democratic transformations, building of a sovereign state, development and strengthening of institutes of public authority and civil society.
On April 6, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev hosted a meeting with Russian Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik.
The participants of the meeting exchanged opinion on the affairs in Ukraine – the Euromaidan and its geopolitical consequences. The importance of work aimed at informing about the crimes conducted by the Kiev regime as well as strengthening cooperation on relevant issues of the bilateral agenda was emphasized.
4-5 April, 2024 saw the 60th round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, established in accordance with Medvedev – Sarkozy agreements, dated August 12, 2008 and September 8, 2008. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA as well asrepresentatives of the EU, the UN, and the OSCE participated in the meeting. The South Ossetian delegation was led by State Counselor to the President K. K. Kochiev.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a note of condolences to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal al-Mekdad.

On March 29, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev participated in the First International Research-to-Practice Conference Tibilov Readings, held in the South Ossetian State University.
On March 26, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and made an entry in the Book of Condolences, opened in connection with the tragic events of March 22, 2024 in Crocus City Hall.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev congratulated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Abkhazia on the jubilee.
