On July 19, in framework of the visit to the Republic of Nicaragua, Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Narim Kozaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua, participated in the festivities on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution. The main event was held at Parque de la Dignidad Nacional Square in center of Managua.
President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega and Vice-President of Nicaragua Rosario Murilllo welcomed and congratulated the guests on the significant date.
On behalf of President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev congratulated President of Nicaragua Comandante Daniel Ortega and Vice-President Rosario Murillo, wishing the Nicaraguan people peace and prosperity and stressing the aspiration of the leadership and the people of South Ossetia to further strengthen relations with Nicaragua.
The solemn rally was attended by international guests, representatives of diplomatic corps, accredited to Nicaragua, members of the Government of Nicaragua and a large number of Nicaraguan publics. Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin and Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko headed the delegations of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus. Apart from that, representatives of states of Latin America, Africa, Cuba etc. participated in the meeting.
