On July 21, in framework of the visit to Nicaragua, a meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev with Adviser to the President of the Republic of Nicaragua on Investments, Trade and International Cooperation Laureano Ortega Murillo was held in Managua.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev participated in the meeting.
During the meeting Akhsar Dzhioev thanked for the invitation to participate in the event which has been so important for all Nicaraguans and noted that over the years of cooperation, strong ties of friendship, based on the principles of mutual trust and respect, have established between our countries.
In his turn, Laureano Ortega expressed gratitude to Akhsar Dzhioev for his visit to Nicaragua on the days, when the state celebrates the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista People’s Revolution, emphasized that Nicaragua appreciates the relations with South Ossetia and, on behalf of President Daniel Ortega and Vice-President Rosario Murillo, delivered welcoming address to President of the Republic of South Ossetia and the people of South Ossetia. Apart from that Laureano Ortega spoke to the guests about the trade and economic potential of the state and its attractiveness in terms of investments.
The parties noted the positive dynamics of development of the bilateral relations and expressed confidence in further joint fruitful work aimed at extension and deepening of the interstate cooperation.
The meeting was held in an atmosphere of the utmost amiability.
