The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba on the occasion of the Victory Day and Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
On September 26-29, 2023, the 9th meeting of the Joint South Ossetian-Russian Demarcation Commission (hereinafter referred to as the Joint Commission) was held in Moscow.
On September 29, meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba, was held in Sukhum.

The Abkhaz Foreign Minister Inal Ardzinba extended a congratulatory letter to the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the Day of the Republic.

Foreign Minister of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev extended a congratulatory letter to the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev on the occasion of the Day of the Republic.

The flag is one of the most important symbols of the state, along with the Coat of Arms and the anthem.
September 17 marks the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, which became the first comprehensive basic document that largely defined the principles and priorities of the interstate relations between the two countries.
