The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba on the occasion of the Victory Day and Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
“The historical date of September 30, 1993 marks the great feat of the Abkhaz people, who, at the cost of enormous efforts and heavy losses, returned peace and tranquility to their land, having demonstrated at that time the indestructible national character, patriotic spirit, cohesion and unity.
This day is a significant memorial date in the life of several generations of the Abkhaz people, a holiday that combines the joy of triumph, the bitterness of losses and the pride for their Victorious Nation.
Today, Abkhazia celebrates its holiday as an independent recognized state, which confidently moves along the path of progressive development, creation and strengthening its international authority. I am convinced that the traditionally warm and friendly relations between our states and nations will continue to serve the common goals of maintaining peace, stability and security for the sake of well-being and prosperity of our fraternal republics.
Dear Inal Batuvich, together with you we bow our heads to the memory of the brave defenders of Apsny and honor the heroes who managed to bring the long-awaited Victory to their state.”
