The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Nicaragua.
The message, in particular, reads:
“The Act of Independence of Central America dated September 15, 1821 marked the realization of the centuries-old dream of the people of Nicaragua of sovereignty and heralded the start of a difficult but noble path of defending the freedom of their state, protecting and strengthening their national identity.
Today, the consistent policy of the Nicaraguan government, headed by Comandante Daniel Ortega, is the key to the dynamic development of the country and promotes strengthening Nicaraguan positions and authority in the international arena.
Your Excellency, while recalling with warmth your recent visit to South Ossetia, I would like to take this pleasant opportunity to express my gratitude to you for your personal presence and support to the Ossetian people, extended on such a significant holiday for us. With your visit you have once again confirmed the commitment of the courageous Nicaraguan people to the ideals of peace, freedom and solidarity - ideals that were defended by Francisco Miranda, Carlos Fonseca, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and, undoubtedly, the great Augusto Cesar Sandino.
I am convinced that the continuation of joint work will contribute to further deepening of the bilateral friendly and allied relations, the development of multifaceted cooperation for the benefit and in the interests of our states and nations.”
On the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Nicaragua Akhsar Dzhioev also sent a congratulatory message to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of South Ossetia Alba Azucena Torres Mejia.
