On 25 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev took part in the round table “Memorial diplomacy as a way of preserving the common historical memory of the peoples of post-Soviet countries”.
The event was organized by the South Ossetian State University named after A.A. Tibilov together with the North Caucasus Federal University (SCFU).
The round table featured presentations on South Ossetia's participation in the Great Patriotic War and the role of memory in diplomacy, the contribution of the peoples of the post-Soviet space to labour exploits and the preservation of the memory of the heroes of the home front, as well as the distortion of historical memory as a tool of political manipulation and other topics.
