On 20 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev took part in the meeting of the reporting board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which was devoted to the work of the foreign policy department in 2024.
The event was attended by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V. N. Krasnoselsky, the leadership of the Supreme Council and the Government of the PMR, the heads of ministries and departments of the PMR, representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Official Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the PMR and other participants.
The report was delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic V. V. Ignatiev, who highlighted three main factors of negative external impact on PMR: global and regional instability, the artificial crisis of the international settlement process known as the “5+2” format, unprecedented blockade and restrictive measures, and large-scale pressure from Moldova involving massive violations of human rights.
Akhsar Dzhioev addressed his colleagues with words of support, pointing out the serious challenges the Republic is facing today and reiterating South Ossetia’s unwavering desire to strengthen bilateral ties.
President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky described the activity of the Foreign Ministry of PMR as significant and recognized the results of the year 2024 as being efficient.
