The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Announcement about the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and Tuvalu

On 19-20 September, 2011 Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi visited the Republic of South Ossetia. During the visit on 19 September, 2011 Joint Statement on the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and Tuvalu was signed. On South Ossetia side the document was signed by the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity and on the side of Tuvalu by the Prime Minister of Tuvalu Willy Telavi.
The relations between the countries will be of friendly nature, they will develop in close collaboration in political, cultural and educational spheres.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries will keep in close touch and cooperate in the questions of the development of bilateral relations and co-operation in the international organizations.

South-Ossetia side greets this important and responsible augment and expresses confidence that the relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and Tuvalu will develop for a good course of the people of these countries.
