Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev addressed a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia S. M. Shamba on the occasion of the Victory and Independence Day of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The congratulatory letter, in particular, states:
“30 September 1993 is a landmark date that will forever remain in the history of Abkhazia as a symbol of the absolute feat of its people who defended the independence of their republic. On this day we pay a tribute of deep respect to those who contributed to the establishment and defense of the state sovereignty of Apsny and its international recognition. We bow our heads to the memory of the fallen heroes of Abkhazia, who at the cost of their lives brought the long-awaited victory to their country.”
