Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yvan Gil Pinto on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The letter, in particular, reads:
“Venezuela became one of the first states, which decisively supported South Ossetia at international arena, having confirmed the right of the South Ossetian nation to determine its destiny independently, to live freely in peace and to create in the land of its ancestors.
The decision to recognize the independence of South Ossetia by the leadership of Venezuela, represented by the Great Man and Citizen, Comandante Hugo Chavez, demonstrated once again the independent, valiant character of the Bolivarian people, and convincingly proved the strong commitment of Venezuela to the principles and norms of the international legislation, justice, peace and democratic development.”
On the occasion of this significant date, Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory letter to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of South Ossetia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez.
