Question: How do you estimate the decision of the International UN Court pertaining the Kosovo status problem?
Answer. Notwithstanding the fact that decision of International UN Court is of consultative character, it creates certain internationally legal precedent. It is crucially important to underline, that the court marked only the Declaration of proclamation of independence itself. However, on my opinion, this decision may be considered as an indirect recognition of Kosovo independence, what will push other states to its recognition.
Question: Is it possible to use this decision in future for achieving of international recognition of the Republic of South Ossetia independence?
Answer: I believe that the issue of proclamation of independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will be examined by UN as well, and we will have a possibility to prove, that proclamation of independence of the Republic of South Ossetia also not contradicting to the norms of International Law. I hope the Western States sooner or later change the policy of double standards accepting the decision on South Ossetia and will recognize the existing reality that will bring to more extended recognition of our statehood.
