On 7-8 August in the Republic of South Ossetia were held mournful events dedicated to the second anniversary of armed aggression of Georgia against the Republic of South Ossetia.

On 7 August at 23:35 in Tskhinval an action “Alive Light of Memory” was held and a requiem concert took place in which musicians from South and North Ossetia as well as the Moscow Rakhmaninov symphony orchestra took part. Leadership of the Republic headed by the President Eduard Kokoity attended the action.

On 4 August, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dzhioev Murat played host for the Head of ICRC Mission in the Republic of South Ossetia Reichel Pierre. At the meeting they talked of the ICRC activities in South Ossetia. Particularly the subject of cooperation in resolving the issues of water supply of the villages of the Republic of South Ossetia was touched upon. The ICRC plans for next year were discussed as well.

Question: How do you estimate the decision of the International UN Court pertaining the Kosovo status problem?

Answer. Notwithstanding the fact that decision of International UN Court is of consultative character, it creates certain internationally legal precedent. It is crucially important to underline, that the court marked only the Declaration of proclamation of independence itself. However, on my opinion, this decision may be considered as an indirect recognition of Kosovo independence, what will push other states to its recognition.

On July 20 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Tskhovrebov K. I. played host for the Official Representative of Transdnuistrian Moldovan Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia Pukhaev A.I.

In the course of the meeting Pukhaev A.I. on behalf of the President, Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Transdnistrian Moldovan Republic paid respects to people and Government of the Republic of South Ossetia in connection with the July 18 fatal accident on the Transcaucasian highway.

On 8 of June 2010 Geneva played host for the eleventh meeting within the framework of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia. Discussions participating on equal grounds by delegations of the Republic of Abkhazia, Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, Russia and US are held in accordance with Medvedev-Sarcozi agreements of the 12th of August and of the 8th of September 2008.

In connection with the armed assault in Diseu village

On 15 of June 2010 Diseu village of Tskhinval district, the Republic of South Ossetia was fired from the police post in Koshki village, Georgia. As a result of this incident three fire-arms wounds received a citizen of South Ossetia Anatoly Kisiev, and his 15-year old son Robert Kisiev was detained and badly beaten, then released.

Q. European Parliament supported the main conclusions of the report of the independent international EU commission headed by Heidi Tagliavini on the investigation of circumstances of armed conflict in South Ossetia, in line with it the war in South Ossetia was launched by Georgia. Do you think that Tagliavini’s conclusions will influence on the policy of the West support of current Georgian regime?

The Transnistrian Moldovan Republic Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Yastrebchak directed a greeting message to the Republic of South Ossetia Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Dzhioev in connection with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war. The message particularly says:
