The Russian Federation Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov directed a greeting message to the Republic of South Ossetia Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Dzhioev in connection with the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war. The message particularly says:
“Sincerely congratulate You and the personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia with the momentous date of the common history of our peoples – 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War”.
Fighting against the common enemy –Nazi intruders – our grandfathers selflessly passed abreast the war path to Berlin and defended the freedom and independence of Motherland. Feelings of friendship and brotherhood linked by blood withstand the test by time and confirmed Russian and South Osetian people adherence to the ideals of freedom and democracy. We are strengthening in common efforts the peace, stability and security in Transcaucasia region today. During this great occasion please transmit warm words of deep gratitude to the veterans of the Republic of South Ossetia and wish them good health, happiness and prosperity.
