April 24 saw a meeting of Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Grigoriy Karasin, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, organized in the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting the parties discussed main directions of the South Ossetian-Russian interaction, strengthening the bilateral cooperation at international arena and the situation in the region.

Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, participated in the assembly of the International Association of Friends of Crimea, which was held in framework of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum on April 20.

On behalf of the South Ossetian Club of Friends of Crimea Dmitrii Medoev welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude for the invitation.

In particular the Minister stated as follows:

A meeting of Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, and a group of Italian senators and businessmen - participants of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum was held on the margins of the Forum on April 20.

The parties had a thorough exchange of opinions on a wide range of issues of mutual interest. Apart from that the possibilities of implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects, especially in humanitarian and cultural spheres, was talked through.

Dmitrii Medoev, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister, participated in the meeting.

On the margins of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, met with Mitsuhiro Kimura, Chairman of the Issukai Far-right Political party (Japan) April 20.

Range of issues of mutual interest was discussed during the meeting.

The parties agreed to establish and develop inter-parliamentary ties between the Edinaya Ossetia Political party of South Ossetia and the Issukai Far-right Political party of Japan.

A meeting of Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Sergey Aksenov, the Head of the Republic of Crimea, took place in framework of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum on April 20.

Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Znaur Gassiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, participated in the meeting.

The perspectives of cooperation between the two Republics were discussed during the meeting.

In framework of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, met with Petros Tseggay Asged, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Eritrea to the Russian Federation, on April 19.

A thorough exchanged of opinion on the perspectives of the bilateral relations as well as on current international agenda took place.

I framework of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, met with the official delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic, headed by Samer Al-Khalil, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, on April 19.

Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Gennadii Kokoev, the Minister of Economic Development, and Znaur Gassiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation, participated in the meeting.

April 19 saw Anatolii Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, and members of the South Ossetian delegation participating in solemn opening ceremony of the IV Yalta International Economic Forum.

In his welcoming speech Anatolii Bibilov told participants and guests of the Forum about the perspectives, which would extension of contacts with the Republic of Crimea and the Russian Federation give to the states - participants of the Forum.

We in the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia have heard with anxiety and bewilderment the news about the barbarous air strike by the USA, the Great Britain and France on the territory of a sovereign state – the Syrian Arab Republic.

This unwarranted military action, which looks like a classic military adventure, will without any doubt damage the fragile peace that has established after the many-years-long civil war in Syria.
