The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia I.B. Ardzinba in connection with his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
The congratulation, in particular, says:
Mutual relations between our republics are traditionally built exclusively on the principles of centuries-old friendship between the peoples of Ossetia and Abkhazia, mutual understanding and mutual assistance, which is firmly enshrined in the bilateral framework of interstate relations.
A significant role in strengthening the statehood of our republics is assigned to the Foreign Ministries, which have been effectively and constructively interacting from the day of the founding of our countries.
The experience gained in recent years allows us to speak with good reason about the confident foreign policy pursued by our states on the path of further strengthening independence and further expanding international recognition.
I am sure that under your leadership, the team of the respected Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, which has a fairly significant potential and colossal experience of work, will effectively solve the tasks set for the department.
I am deeply convinced that constructive interaction between the foreign affairs agencies of our fraternal republics will continue to expand and strengthen.
