On October 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dmitrii Medoev received the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg) Radion Pukhaev, who is on a business trip in Tskhinval.
During the conversation, they discussed some of the results of the representative’s activities in recent years, outlined plans for the coming period, including those related to the implementation of various cultural projects.
R. Pukhaev spoke about the projects that were implemented in various European countries, the high interest shown in South Ossetia, Ossetian history and culture, shared plans for the future.
Dmitrii Medoev thanked Radion Pukhaev for his personal contribution to the establishment of cultural ties between Ossetia and Europe, emphasizing the importance of such events as “Days of Ossetian Culture in Europe”, organized by the international association “Renaissance-Sandidzan” headed by him.
The Minister also stressed that South Ossetia is interested in holding similar events both in Europe and in other parts of the world, “which make it possible to present Ossetia from the point of view of culture and art, the language of which does not need translation, and work in this direction will be certainly continue”.
At the end of the meeting, D. Medoev awarded R. Pukhaev with the departmental medal of the Ministry “For Contribution to International Cooperation”.
