On July 19, in framework of the visit to the Republic of Nicaragua, Akhsar Dzhioev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, and Narim Kozaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua, participated in the festivities on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution. The main event was held at Parque de la Dignidad Nacional Square in center of Managua.
On July 17, a delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev, arrived on a working visit to the Republic of Nicaragua to participate in festivities dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution Day.
On July 15, during a ceremony held in the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Belgium, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belgium Alexander Tokovinin awarded Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) Radion Pukhaev with “Honor Mark of the Compatriot”.
On July 15, in framework of the visit to the Republic of Nicaragua to participate in festivities dedicated to the 45thanniversary of the Sandinista Revolution Day, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia AkhsarDzhioev arrived in Caracas.
Foreign Minister Dzhioev was met in the airport by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Venezuela Sergey Melik-Bagdasarov and representatives of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
Today, commemorative events, dedicated to the Peacekeeper’s Day are held in South Ossetia.
As it’s known, the 31st annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held in Bucharest from June 29 to July 3, during which a declaration was adopted, including a long-standing call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian military forces from the occupied Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

June 25-26, 2024 saw the 61st round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, established in accordance with Medvedev – Sarkozy agreements, dated August 12, 2008 and September 8, 2008. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA as well as representatives of the EU, the UN, and the OSCE participated in the meeting.
On June 20-22, commemorative events, dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People are taking place in the Republic of Belarus.
