On 9 September, the first meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia was held in the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia. The session was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Chief of the Department for work with foreign agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. G. Sanakoev, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who are members of the Council.
During the session were elected Deputy Chairman of the Council - Z. K. Kochieva, Executive Secretary of the Council - A. A. Tskhovrebova and member of the Presidium - D. S. Babutsidze. The Council’s agenda for the coming year was also drafted.
The Council of Young Diplomats was established in September 2024 with the aim to intensify work with young officers, to ensure continuity and maintenance of the traditions of the South Ossetian diplomatic service, to support the growth of professional skills and qualifications of young personnel. The main goals and objectives of the Council of Young Diplomats are to assist in the professional adaptation and further career development of newly hired young employees of the Ministry, as well as to establish and uphold contacts with young diplomats of foreign countries and youth organizations. Members of the Council may be employees of the MFA of the Republic of South Ossetia up to and including 45 years old.
