On March 15-17, citizens of the Russian Federation, who permanently reside or stayed on the day of voting in the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia, took part in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation.
12 ballot boxes, one of which was for Russian military personnel, were opened in South Ossetia. The voting was organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia. The leadership of the Republic created all conditions for the free expression of the will of voters.
According to preliminary data, 97% of votes cast their votes for Vladimir Putin, 1% of voters voted for N.M. Kharitonov, 1% for V.A. Davankov and 0.7% for L.E. Slutsky.
