On September 15 the Republic of Nicaragua celebrates the main national holiday – the Independence Day.
Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, addressed a congratulatory letter to Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, on the occasion of the Republic of Nicaragua.
The letter, in particular, reads:
The history of Nicaragua is the history of selfless struggle of a courageous people for the right to independence and freedom, peace and prosperity in the land of their ancestors. On the way to making the centuries-old dream about the sovereignty true, the people of Nicaragua have passed numerous difficulties, but did not lose its best qualities – courage, decisiveness, national unity and faith in justice. The unique character of the people of Nicaragua still helps to overcome all challenges of modern times.
Your Excellency, people in South Ossetia will always be grateful to Comandante Daniel Ortega and the people of Nicaragua for the hand of friendship extended to us in difficult times, for solidarity, all-round support and constructive interaction at international platforms.
I am convinced that the traditional mutual understanding and trust that have established between our states would further promote strengthening of the bilateral allied and partnership relations for the benefit and in the interests of our nations.
Apart from that a congratulatory letter was addressed by Akhsar Dzhioev to Alba Asusena Torres Mejia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Republic of South Ossetia.
