Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, is taking part in the international conference entitled “Crimea in the International Context. Friends of Crimea”, which is being held in the Livadia Palace, Yalta on November 6-7, 2017.
Famous politicians, acting ministers, members of parliaments, public figures, representatives of cultural, business and media sectors were among the ninety delegates from thirty states, including China, Japan, Syria, Palestine, Israel, India and European countries, participating in the conference.
The conference started with a session entitled “Russia, Crimea and International Relations”, where discussions on sanctions against Russia and Crimea, rights of people for self-determination and the legitimacy of the Crimean referendum were held.
South Ossetain Foreign Minister Dmitriy Medoev participated in the session. On behalf of Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, he welcomed the attendees and expressed the warmest wishes to the people of Crimea.
A session entitled “Youth Diplomacy as a Tool for Development of International Cooperation” will take place on the margins of the conference.
