Commemoration events, dedicated to the 9th anniversary of Georgian military aggression against the Republic of South Ossetia, were organized in Italy on August 8, 2017.
The attendees who came to Piazza Collenuccio in Pesaro observed a minute of silence in tribute to the memory of numerous victims of the Georgian aggression.
As Mauro Murgia, the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Italy, marked, “Today we have been looking back to the tragedy of the people of South Ossetia, which happened nine years ago, when the world became evident of the unprecedented cruelty and cynicism, shown by the fascist Georgian regime”.
“We would like to tell to the international community that a war couldn’t solve problems. It only brings pain, and each nation has its right for self-determination”, added Murgia.
The memory of the people of South Ossetia, who became victims of the aggression, will never be forgotten by the Italian friends of South Ossetia.
