Today, commemorative events, dedicated to the Peacekeeper’s Day are held in South Ossetia.

As it’s known, the 31st annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly was held in Bucharest from June 29 to July 3, during which a declaration was adopted, including a long-standing call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Russian military forces from the occupied Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev on the occasion of his birthday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent congratulatory notes to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Yván Gil Pinto and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of South Ossetia Jesús Rafael Salazar Velásquez on the occasion of the Independence Day of Venezuela.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia extended a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus on the occasion of the Independence Day.
The note, in particular, reads:
“The main national holiday is the symbol of national pride of the Belarusian people, the confirmation of its unity and solidarity, commitment to principles and values of freedom, peace and mutual respect.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory letter to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
The letter, in particular, reads:
June 25-26, 2024 saw the 61st round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia, established in accordance with Medvedev – Sarkozy agreements, dated August 12, 2008 and September 8, 2008. Delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA as well as representatives of the EU, the UN, and the OSCE participated in the meeting.
On June 20-22, commemorative events, dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People are taking place in the Republic of Belarus.
On June 20, on the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Ossetian Genocide, commemorative events were held in South Ossetia.
Flower-laying ceremony was held at the Memorial Monument to 13 Communards shot by the Georgian Mensheviks on the Zguder Hill on June 20, 1920.
On June 21-22 a South Ossetian delegation participates in the events, timed to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, which are organized in Brest.
