On September 18, the South Ossetian-Venezuelan inter-ministerial consultations were held in Moscow with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe and North America of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Andrea Corao and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez.
During the meeting the parties discussed the bilateral agenda. The importance of intensifying contacts between South Ossetia and Venezuela was noted.
Akhsar Dzhioev, on behalf of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia A. E. Gagloev, conveyed greetings and wishes of success to the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and the Venezuelan people, as well as gratitude for their support towards South Ossetia.
The participants of the meeting were unanimous in their opinion that interference in the internal affairs of other countries and the exertion of political, economic and other forms of pressure are unacceptable.
