The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev extended a congratulatory letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the Diplomats’ Day.
The letter, in particular, reads:
On 5 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Elbakiev.
The appeals of a number of Georgian opposition parties to the new Syrian authorities to revoke recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, first of all, should be considered in the context of the internal political crisis which has been lasting since autumn. The results of the parliamentary elections and the defeat of the political force which was ruling for more than a decade, have been catalyzing processes and public rhetoric, which is obviously destructive. It is, to a greater extent, aimed at increasing its media exposure.

On 31 January, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev received the Head of the Official Mission of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of South Ossetia A.S. Pliev.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia has sent a congratulatory letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Finance of the Republic of Nauru on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Nauru.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev attended a performance of the fairy tale musical Little Red Riding Hood in Wonderland, which was prepared by the pupils of the Tskhinval boarding school for their benefactors.
The ceremony of inauguration of the elected President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro took place in Caracas on January 10.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev, and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the coming New Year.
In the messages, the Ministers addressed the kindest and warmest New Year greetings and wishes for a happy New Year.
On December 26, an extended format meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, at which the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev summed up the work of the Ministry in the outgoing year and outlined the main tasks for 2025.
During the meeting the Minister touched upon the main activities of the Foreign Ministry and foreign institutions of the Ministry in 2024.
