Irakliy Alasania, the Minister of Defence of Georgia, declared on October, 14 that Georgia would begin the process of South Ossetia and Abkhazia "deokkupation" by means of the international community pressure. What is more, the normative acts approved by parliaments of the two states have no international legal value for Georgia.

Aberrated approach of Georgian politicians makes them misinterpret the reality. Facts of the existence of the Republic of South Ossetia as well as the decision-making by the Republic’s authorities do not depend on their value for Georgian officials.

Concerning the results of the 29th round of the Geneva International Discussions

Regular round of the Geneva International Discussions was held on October 7-8, 2014 in Geneva. Official mission from South Ossetia, headed by Murat Dzhioev, the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, missions from Abkhazia, Georgia, Russia, the USA as well as representatives of the EU, the UN and OSCE took part in negotiations.

David Sanakoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, received Chingiz Rayimbekov, a delegate from the Tskhinval office of the Defense Department of the International Committee of the Red Cross on September, 14.

Terms of the ICRC activity in South Ossetia were discussed. Mr. Rayimbekov reported on the results of the work conducted by the mission in South Ossetia for the last months. An exchange of opinions on a number of issues of mutual interest took place.

On a telephone conversation between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the secretary of state – the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The 5th annual conference organized by Russian residents in South Ossetia was held in Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia on September, 16. The main subject of the conference was "The multi-vector humanitarian course of Russia in the “near abroad” and Russian compatriots in South Ossetia".

Ossetian mission on the Geneva International Discussions headed by Murat Dzhioev, the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, played host to the Co-chairmen of the Discussions, who visited the Republic on September, 16, 2014.

Issues concerning preparation for the forthcoming 29th round of the Discussions that is going to be held on October, 7-8, 2014 have been talked over.

The Treaty on Alliance and Integration between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation was signed on March, 18. Signing of the document drew a wide response. Refusing to recognize the existing reality, Georgia and some western countries claimed the signed Treaty to be a violation of international law. Though, over 80 bilateral agreements, including the framework Treaty on Friendship, Collaboration and Mutual Assistance dated September, 17, 2008 were signed between our countries since August, 2008, not any of them have drawn so much attention from the third countries.

Today, on March, 18, The Treaty on Alliance and Integration between South Ossetia and Russia is being singed in Moscow. David Sanakoev, the head of foreign policy department of RSO, informed REGNUM news agency what positive changes can happen in the Republic and why did the treaty with Russia become the reason for non-confidence vote delivering.

David Sanakoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosted a meeting with Jan Mishkots, the Chief Representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic of South Ossetia, on February, 26 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
