David Sanakoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, took part in a news conference that was held within the project “Open government” and run in the press center of the State Committee on Information and Press on February, 25.
The minister reported on the official visit to Moscow, where “The Agreement on the frontier between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation” was signed by him and Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Mr.Sanakoev noted that “according to the agreement, the border between the two states runs through those delimitation and demarcation posts which were mapped as a result of the work conducted by joint South-Ossetian-Russian commission. This document should put an end to talks on annexation, occupation and joining of South Ossetia to Russia".
A number of questions concerning the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were discussed as well.
