In an interview with a Georgian channel Imedi TV, the Prime Minister of Georgia I. Kobakhidze, commenting on the topic of relations with Abkhazia and South Ossetia in the context of restoring Georgia’s territorial integrity, stated that this “will become a reality if Tbilisi shows patience and we are guided by that patience in our policy.”

It is obvious that in the light of the ongoing protest actions bythe Georgian opposition since last autumn, speculation has beenincreasing on the restoration of the so-called territorial integrity of Georgia.

A temporary parliamentary commission for investigation of crimes committed by the former ruling United National Movement party, formed on 5 February 2025, has started its work in Georgia under the presidency of Thea Tsulukiani, a member of the political council of the Georgian Dream party.

On 25 March, a regular meeting of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia was held. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Head of the Department for Work with Foreign Agencies of the Ministry A.G. Sanakoev, as well as employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who are members of the Council.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev addressed a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov on the occasion of his jubilee.

On 18 March, Sputnik press center hosted a press conference of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Ossetia M.M. Kulakhmetov on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation on Alliance and Integration.

Today in South Ossetia the victims of the Yered tragedy - one of the most inhuman crimes in the modern history of the Ossetian people - are being remembered.

On 17 March the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev took part in the solemn events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding state and public figure of South Ossetia Znaur Gassiev.

The event began with laying flowers at the tomb of Znaur Gassiev in the village of Buzala, Dzau district.

On 11 March, a meeting was held in Beslan with the support of the Beslan City Administration and the Mothers of Beslan Committee between Alan Gabaraev, Head of the Tskhinval City Administration, and Filippo Gasperi, Mayor of Gradara (Italy), who is visiting the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

Attention was drawn to the statements of the Georgian Foreign Minister Maki Bochorishvili in an interview with the Spanish agency EFE, in which she voiced a kind of ‘reference points’ of the old-new Georgian foreign policy, in particular, stating that “her country does not want a new war with Russia, but does not refuse membership in NATO and the European Union (EU)”.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov sent a congratulatory message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev on the occasion of his birthday.
