Diplomatic service has always been a symbol of high responsibility and patriotism. In conditions of complicated international situation the activity of the foreign policy department of the Republic of South Ossetia acquires special importance, playing a key role in promoting national interests and defending the sovereignty of the country.
On 27 May, a video conference was held at the South Ossetian State University named after A. A. Tibilov with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev and the Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Donetsk.
On 26 May, a friendly mini-football match took place between the teams of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia, organized by the Council of Young Diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.
On May 20, 1992, a convoy of peaceful Ossetian citizens who were trying to escape from the besieged Tskhinval, was despicably and inhumanly shot down at point-blank range from an ambush by armed Georgian militants on the Zar “road of life”.
On May 19, in Moscow, a meeting was held between the State Councilor of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Odyssey Bigvava.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A. M. Dzhioev extended a congratulatory letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

On 15 May the first intellectual game “Brain Ring” organized by the Council of Young Diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia took place in the building of the Republican Library named after Anacharsis. The event was dedicated to the Day of the Ossetian Language and Literature.
On 14 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev took part in a solemn meeting dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladislav Ardzinba, an outstanding statesman and political figure, the first President of Abkhazia. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of South Ossetia.
On 14 May the Minister of Foreign Affairs of theRepublic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev attended the presentation of the books of the first President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ludwig Chibirov “Issues of ethnogenesis and history of Ossetians” and “Names. Book Two”, the event was held at the South OssetianState University named after A.A. Tibilov.
