The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia extended a note of condolences to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation on the occasion of the tragic consequences of the air crash.
The note, in particular, reads:
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia extends its deepest condolences on the occasion of the helicopter crash that occurred on May 19, 2024 and resulted in the death of President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and statesmen, who accompanied them.
The untimely tragic passing of one of the true patriots of the Islamic Republic, who stood firmly to defend the interests of his state, came as a shock not only for the people of Iran, but for entire international community. We wish the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran to overcome the ordeal with honor.”
