On July 19, on a working trip to Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, Dmitrii Medoev, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua, Denis Monkada Kolindres.
During rhe conversation the sides discussed issues of strengthening and expanding of mutual relations.
On July 19, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia D.N. Medoev, during his working trip to Moscow at the invitation of the Nicaraguan side, took part in a gala reception on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista revolution, which was held at the Embassy of Nivaragua in the Russian Federation.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent a message to the President of the Republic of South Ossetia A. I. Bibilov, which contains a request for pardon of the citizen of Georgia Z. Gakheladze, who is serving a sentence in South Ossetia for violating its state border with the use of firearms against the servicemen of the Border Guard Service of the Republic.

On June 29-30, 2021, another round of the International Discussions on Security in the Transcaucasia took place in Geneva. It was attended by delegations from the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, as well as representatives of the EU, UN and OSCE. The South Ossetian delegation was headed by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President for post-conflict settlement M.K.
For several years in a row, Georgia has been submitting to the United Nations General Assembly a draft resolution on refugees and displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Repeating from year to year the text of the document, Georgia is trying to impose on the world community a one-sided, politicized and distorted vision of the refugee problem in order to reinforce its illegitimate territorial claims.
On June 20, on the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Ossetian Genocide, a ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers was held at the Memorial Monument to 13 Communards shot by the Georgian Mensheviks on the Zguder Hill on June 20, 1920.
On June 8, a working meeting of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva International Discussions, headed by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement M.K. Dzhioev, and the Co-Chairs of the Geneva Discussions from the EU, OSCE and UN took place in Tskhinval.
May 29 marks the third anniversary of the recognition of the state independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Syrian Arab Republic.
