At the invitation of the Consul General of Russia in Istanbul Andrey Buravov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Turkey Burhan Hosity took part in the meeting of the "Russia’s Friends Club" in Istanbul on July 7,
The event was also attended by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey Ibrakhim Avidzba and the Chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey Murat Makharia, as well as the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul Aleksei Shved.
Andrey Buravov noted that in the face of Western pressure over Russia, the project "Russia’s Friends Club" is intended to demonstrate the unity of the cultural space and international cooperation and to strengthen partnership with Turkey.
The "Russia’s Friends Club" was established on the initiative of the “United Russia” party for the purpose of promotion of the Russian culture and maintaining contacts between peoples. It is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian political and public organizations.
