Commemorative events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the military aggression of Georgia against South Ossetia were held in the Republic of South Ossetia on August 7-8.
Similar actions were organized in the embassies of the Republic of South Ossetia in Moscow, Sukhum and Tiraspol.

The jubilee Fifth Young Diplomats Forum, organized by the Board of Young Diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, was held in Moscow on July 26-27, 2018.
Upon an invitation from the organizers, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, delegates from Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan participated in the work of the Forum.
July 29 saw a meeting of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov with representatives of the Ossetian communities from different counties of the world – the participants of cultural education project Ethnolager 2018 – Trace of the Alans.
Dmitrii Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, participated in the meeting as well.
The official visit of the South Ossetian President Anatolii Bibilov to the Syrian Arab Republic finished on July 25.
An informal meeting of Anatolii Bibilov and Bashar al-Assad, the Presidents of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Syrian Arab Republic, was held on the day of the departure. The two leaders summarized the results of the visit and took leaves.
The President and members of the South Ossetian delegation were seen off at the international airport of Damascus by Walid Muallem, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic.
In framework of the official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic the South Ossetian delegation, headed by President Anatolii Bibilov, met with representatives of the Government and the Parliament of Syria on July 25.

In framework of the official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic the delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by President Anatolii Bibilov, visit the main sanctuaries of Syria.
Accompanied by Atef Nadda, the Minister for Higher Education, the South Ossetian delegation visited the town of Saidnaya, where the Convent of Our Lady, one of the oldest and biggest monasteries, which was found in 547, is located.
In framework of the official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic a meeting of the South Ossetian President Anatolii Bibilov with representatives of the Ossetian community in Syria was held on July 24.
On behalf of the delegation of South Ossetia Anatolii Bibilov welcomed the compatriots and expressed satisfaction with the fact that the Ossetians, who live in Syria, play important role in life of their second Motherland, enjoy well-deserved respect, but alongside with this do not lose interest in their historical land.
