On 17 September 2013 is marked the fifth anniversary of since signing of the Agreement on friendship, cooperation and bilateral support between Russian Federation and Republic of South Ossetia. The significance of this date was commented by the Minster of Foreign Affairs of RSO David Sanakoev to State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “IR”.
- The Agreement on friendship, cooperation and bilateral support between Russian Federation and Republic of South Ossetia, signed on 17 September 2008, is very important for our nation. It laid a bases for establishment of bilateral relations between our states and created solid guarantees for security and stability for our nation. Agreement on friendship, cooperation and bilateral support between Russian Federation and republic of South Ossetia opened for South Ossetia possibilities for economic and social development.
Attachments to the Agreement were realized and took cooperation between our countries to a new level. Joint work of the sides on goals mentioned in the Agreement did not stop during all these years. To date were signed about seventy international agreements. They cover a wide range issues at interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental level. There are about 20 agreements in the pipeline.
I would like to use this possibility and congratulate citizens of Republic of South Ossetia and Russia with this remarkable date which is of historical importance for our nations.
