The Ministry of Foregin Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia sent a congratulatory letter to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the National Flag Day of Russia.
The letter, in particular, reads:
"Revival of the sacred symbol of the country - the flag of Russia, enacted by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in August 1994, marked an important new milestone in the history of the Russian nation. Being one of the fundamental state attributes, the national tricolor rightfully heralds the greatness and might of Russia, the unity and solidarity of the country's multi-ethnic nation, its commitment to preserving peace, harmony and traditional values."
