In commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic of South Ossetia by the Republic of Nicaragua, on the initiative of the student club “Apollo” at the A.Tibilov South Ossetian State University took place an ascent to the top of Mount Dzhermukh (3193 m), located in the Tli Gorge of South Ossetia.
Nicaragua became the second country after the Russian Federation to recognize the independence of South Ossetia on September 3, 2008.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia expresses its sincere gratitude to the club “Apollo” and personally to the participants of the ascent.
