On 27 of December the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia David Sanakoev played host for the delegation of Donetsk People Republic MFA headed by DPR Foreign Minister A. I. Kofman who came to Tskhinval with a working visit.
In the course of a detailed conversation were discussed a perspective directions of bilateral cooperation in different realms as well as a development of political dialog in the view of recognition of Donetsk People Republic by the Republic of South Ossetia. A separate issue of discussion became perspectives of constructive interaction between the foreign ministries of RSO and DPR.
A. Kofman informed of development of last events in republic and expressed gratitude for significant and historical decision of South Ossetia leadership – recognition of DPR independence.
In his turn D. G. Sanakoev noted that in South Ossetia follow the events in Donetsk and lugansk Republics and deeply empathize with their inhabitants and wished speedy establishment of peace in this troubled land. He also highlighted that for South Ossetia as for any nation who survived the war, peace is the most important thing and assured of support of South Ossetia’s leadership.
The sides confirmed their readiness for fruitful cooperation and agreed to build relations on friendly and equal bases effectively using the existing potential.
