Consular agency of the Republic of South Ossetia was officially opened in Vladikavkaz on November, 21, 2014.
D. S. Kulumbegov, the Prime Minister of RSO, D. G. Sanakoev the Minister of Foreign Affairs of RSO, S. K. Takoev, the Prime Minister of RNO-Alania, E.K. Kargiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in RSO, and other officials participated in the ceremony.
It is not a coincidence to open the first Consular agency of South Ossetia in Vladikavkaz as it is North Ossetia the place where a significant amount of citizens of South Ossetia are residents and sojourners. Now the agency is entitled to help this people in solving problems with legalization of documents, notarial terms of issuing temporary identity cards of a citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia that grant the right for entrance (return) to the Republic etc.
Opening a Consular agency is an important step in developing interstate relations between South Ossetia and Russia. It testifies the fact that close interaction in various spheres between the states is becoming stronger.
