On July 19, the solemn ceremony of awarding state awards by the President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev to distinguished workers in various spheres of life of the Republic took place.
A number of employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, who have worked in the system of the Ministry for many years, were awarded high awards.
The President congratulated the awarded on the recognition of their merits and expressed gratitude for many years of fruitful work and great contribution to the construction and the development of the state.
The South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev sent a congratulatory message to the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres on the occasion of a significant event – the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution.

On July 17, as part of the visit to Managua for celebrations on the occasion of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution, a meeting was held between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Republic of Nicaragua Narim Kozaev and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua Arlette Marenco.
On July 11-15, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia took part in the Eurasian Forum of Young Diplomats, which was held on the sidelines of the Manzherok Festival in Gorno-Altaisk.
The event was organized by the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Rossortudnitchestvo, the United Russia party and the Government of the Altai Republic.
South Ossetia celebrates the Peacekeeper’s Day.
On July 14, 1992, on the basis of the Agreement on the principles of the settlement of the Georgian -Ossetian conflict, signed by heads of Russia, Georgia, North Ossetia and South Ossetia on June 24, 1992, the Trilateral Peacekeeping Force was introduced into the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia.
The next round of the Geneva International Discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia were held on July 11-12, 2023 in Geneva. The meeting was attended by the delegations of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the USA, as well as the representatives of the EU, UN, OSCE. The South Ossetian delegation was headed by State Advisor to the President of the Republic of South Ossetia K. K. Kochiev.
