November 23 saw the ceremony of laying the Garland of Memory and Glory at the memorial complex to the Defenders of South Ossetia, as well as a rally, organized at the entrance to Tskhinval city on Prisskaya Hill, to honor those guys, who stood up to protect the Motherland.
On the same day, thanksgiving services were served in churches of the Republic, and a solemn procession was organized with participation of students of the South Ossetian State University, school students and the public.
On the occasion of the significant date, a solemn ceremony of opening the Walk of Honor and Glory with busts of outstanding figures of Ossetia was held in Valery Khubulov Park of Culture and Rest and a solemn presentation of commemorative coin, dedicated to the special military operation, was organized in the National Bank of South Ossetia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and officers of the Foreign Ministry participated in the events.
