In connection with the multinational military trainings “Agile Spirit – 2021” in Georgia
From July 26 to August 6, the multinational exercise “Agile Spirit – 2021” will be held in Georgia for the tenth time, in which 2500 servicemen from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, US, Turkey, Ukraine and Estonia will take part, including about 1500 Georgian and 700 American troops. A large quantity of the most modern weaponry and military equipment was delivered to the territory of Georgia.
The goal of the exercise is to improve interoperability between units of the Alliance and partner countries, improve and strengthen operational capabilities in planning and carrying out multinational military operations, and develop readiness for cooperation in the field of security.
However, it is quite obvious that such declarative statements have little to do with the true state of affairs.
The real tangible result of these NATO military games on the territory of the aggressor country is the systematic escalation of tension in the region, which cannot but cause the most serious concern.
It is quite obvious that the North Atlantic Alliance is striving to create another anti-Russian military foothold on the territory of Georgia, arming and training the Georgian army, and Georgia, in turn, obsessed with revanchist ideas after the war against South Ossetia lost in August 2008, hopes with the help of political and military support from NATO member states to satisfy its illegal claims against the territories of neighboring states – the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia.
We regard what is happening as deliberate attempts to undermine the structure of regional stability and security that has emerged recently. In the situation of the ongoing internal political crisis and the difficult economic situation, official Tbilisi, which enjoys the irresponsible political and military support of non-regional players and does not want to assume obligations of non use of force against neighboring states, is able to once again become the instigator of the most dangerous military adventures that threaten peace in the entire region of Southern Caucasus.
