On September 18 the Delegation of the Co-Chairmen of the Geneva international discussions on security in Transcaucasia paid a working visit to the Republic of South Ossetia.
The sides discussed issues related to the preparation of the next 21round of the Geneva discussions which will be held in October of 2012.

On September 29, 2012, at 3:40 am, South Ossetia border post in the village of Karzman, Java region, was gunned with automatic firearms and grenade launchers. South Ossetian side did not open return fire, but in the course of search operations in the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgian Interior Ministry official was arrested near the state border and he was seized a NATO-standard automatic rifle with grenade launcher.
From August 31 to September 3, the official delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia led by the Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Kochieva S.Y. visited the Transdniestria Moldavian Republic, which was celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the proclamation of independence. The delegation also included Deputy Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Tskhovrebov K.I. and the Head of Translation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Tadtaev S.Y.
The media continues to discuss the article from the newspaper "Izvestia" published on 14 August 2012. It reported that allegedly to the order of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia L.Kh. Tibilov "several Georgian villages located to the north of the capital of the Republic will be taken down” in South Ossetia. In a statement issued after the NATO Summit in Chicago on May 21, 2012, the member states of NATO, supporting Georgia's aspirations to join NATO called on Russia "to deny its recognition of the Georgian regions South Ossetia and Abkhazia as independent states and to reduce the Russian military presence in these regions."

An Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in Russian Federation in Moscow today played host for the meeting of the first deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Kazbulat Tskhovrebov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nauru Kieren Keke who is in Moscow with working visit.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia in Russian Federation Dmitry Medoev has also taken part in the meeting.
