On May 25, parliamentary and regional elections were held in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. According to the results, released by the National Electoral Council, the Great Patriotic Pole coalition, which includes the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela, won the absolutely majority – 23 out of 24state governor positions in the National Assembly and the majority in regional councils with a 42.6% turnout.

On 15 May the first intellectual game “Brain Ring” organized by the Council of Young Diplomats under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia took place in the building of the Republican Library named after Anacharsis. On 14 May the Minister of Foreign Affairs of theRepublic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev attended the presentation of the books of the first President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ludwig Chibirov “Issues of ethnogenesis and history of Ossetians” and “Names. Book Two”, the event was held at the South OssetianState University named after A.A. Tibilov.

On 8 May in Tskhinval, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a solemn ceremony was held to lay the Garland of Glory and Remembrance at the obelisk to the fallen during the Great Patriotic War on the Walk of Fame near the Eternal Flame.
On 5 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia A.M. Dzhioev took part in a solemn ceremony - presentation of a series of commemorative coins dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the heroes of the Soviet Union from South Ossetia.
