On May 25, parliamentary and regional elections were held in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. According to the results, released by the National Electoral Council, the Great Patriotic Pole coalition, which includes the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela, won the absolutely majority – 23 out of 24state governor positions in the National Assembly and the majority in regional councils with a 42.6% turnout.
According to international observers, the elections were organized at a high level, and were run without violations.
We welcome the successful holding of elections in Venezuela and express our hope for further progressive development of South Ossetian-Venezuelan relations, constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation.
