On May 19, in Moscow, a meeting was held between the State Councilor of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Odyssey Bigvava.
During the discussion of the agenda of the forthcoming round of the International Discussions on security in Transcaucasia, the primacy of ensuring lasting security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia was noted. The participants stressed the urgent need of elaborating legally binding guarantees of non-use of force by Georgia and of launching the process of delimitation with subsequent demarcation of the South Ossetian-Georgian state border.
