Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, continues his official visit to the Russian Federation.

Today, on November 14, President Bibilov laid a wreath to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden by Kremlin Wall. Members of the South Ossetian delegation participated in the ceremony. The participants observed a moment of silence in tribute to the Soviet citizens who fell in the Great Patriotic War while protecting the Motherland.

After the wreath laying ceremony the Kremlin Regiment march took place.

In framework of the official visit of Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, to the Russian Federation a meeting of Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, with Mike Aroy, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nauru, took place on November 13, 2017 in Moscow.

A range of issues of mutual interest was discussed during the meeting. In particular, strengthening cooperation through the two Foreign Ministries was on the agenda.

In framework of the official visit of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia to the Russian Federation a meeting of Anatoliy Bibilov with Baron Divavesi Waqa, the President of the Republic of Nauru, took place in Moscow on November 13, 2017.

Upon the invitation from Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, Anatoliy Bibilov, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia, arrived in Moscow on an official visit on November 13, 2017.

November 6, 2017 saw Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, participating in the International Forum Friends of Crimea, organized in framework of the International Conference in Yalta.

Sergey Aksenov, the Head of the Republic of Crimea, welcomed the participants and the attendees of the Forum. He voiced the welcoming message from Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, and marked that the document emphasizes the high level and importance of the event.

Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, is taking part in the international conference entitled “Crimea in the International Context. Friends of Crimea”, which is being held in the Livadia Palace, Yalta on November 6-7, 2017.

Famous politicians, acting ministers, members of parliaments, public figures, representatives of cultural, business and media sectors were among the ninety delegates from thirty states, including China, Japan, Syria, Palestine, Israel, India and European countries, participating in the conference.

Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, hosted a meeting with Alan Elbakiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of South Ossetia, on October 20, 2017.

The Minister informed the Ambassador about the results of recent visits to Italy, San-Marino and Catalonia and told about meetings held at different levels, where friendly relations and joint stands of South Ossetia and Abkhazia had been emphasized.

October 30, 2017 saw a press-conference of Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, organized in the press center of the State Committee on Information and Press.

During the news conference the Minister spoke in detail about the results of visits to the Italian Republic and the Republic of San-Marino and informed about the visit to Barcelona, where a representation office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in Catalonia had been opened.

October 23, 2017 saw the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitriy Medoev arriving on a short-term visit to Catalonia.

Minister Medoev met with compatriots in Catalonia, who despite the distance stay in touch with their Motherland, are interested in the affairs happening there and strive for making contribution to spreading the truth in West about the events in South Ossetia.

A meeting of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitriy Medoev with Eliseo Bertolasi and Palmarino Zoccatelli, representatives of the North League party, took place in the National Assembly of Veneto on October 22, 2017.

Issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. Special attention was drawn to the opportunities for mutually beneficial economic cooperation and creation of favorable climate for implementation of joint business-projects.

In this regard, the parties agreed on establishment of Veneto-South Alania Trade and Economic Council.

On October 22, 2017, at the end of the visit to Italy, the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitriy Medoev arrived in Venice, the capital of region Veneto, where the consultative referendum on the extension of the autonomy was being held.

Veneto is one of the most economically developed regions of Italy.

In framework of the visit a meeting of Minister Medoev with Dr. Luchano Sandona, member of the Regional Council of Veneto, responsible for the referendum from the Government, took place. Later the Minister observed the voting process.

October 20, 2107 saw Dmitriy Medoev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia, participating in the X Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona, Italy.

More than 1000 delegates from Russia, Italy, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, South Korea and European states took part in the event.
