September 27, 2016 saw a meeting of South Ossetia delegation at the GID, headed by Murat Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, with Alexey Dvinyanin, Deputy Director of the 4th CIS Department of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Marat Kulakhmetov, Counselor of the Minister, who are representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and members of Russian delegation at the Discussions.
GIA related topics in general and the agenda of the coming 37th round of the Discussions scheduled for October 4-5, 2016 in particular were discussed during the meeting. Special attention was drawn for security issues and the existing threats. The participants emphasized once again the necessity of making a joint statement on commitment to the principal of non-use of force. Discussion on humanitarian problems became another important part of the meeting.
In addition, the parties exchanged opinions on other questions of mutual interest.
